Yasmine&John both live in Puerto-Rico. She is Libanese and he is Cuban. And they had decided to tie the know in the southern charm of Charleston. So from the scratch, this wedding was up for some serious multi-cultural vibes! Yasmine and John are the sweetest couple, and they have become great friends through the months. A Charleston Bride perfectly planned and designed the day, with beautiful florals by Palmetto Bloom.
Adesuwa and Nick are from London and picked the amazing Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild for their venue. The Villa Ephrussi is Cote d’Azur’s shining diamond, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from its hill in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Lavender&Rose took care of the planning and design and did it perfectly as they are used to. Wayne Riley declined the color palette of the wedding (light green and pink) for the design of the tables and florals at church. It was one of these very special summer days on the French Riviera, and the wedding ended with the warm summer breeze, that only the French Riviera can offer.
Darren&Rachael are originally from Scotland. After living a couple of years in Singapore, their love for Asia, and ultimately Bali, led them to choosing Uluwatu as their perfect destination for their wedding. After visiting Bali in 2013, they fell in love with this beautiful island instantly. Bali is named “The Island of the Gods” and it is easy to understand why: a tropical oasis, filled with culture and beauty. However, beauty is not only skin deep with Bali – it is engrained within: the Balinese people mirror the external beauty with their kindness, generosity and smiles.

Chris&Dub both are from Louisiana, and had invited their closest family and friends (it was an intimate 40-guests’ wedding) for their wedding celebration in Rome, Italy. They are one of the sweetest couple I ever had the pleasure to work with. The wedding ceremony was held in a stunning ancient library, which was the perfect setting for a wedding ceremony with a male touch. The wedding happening in the late Fall in Rome, light was limited, but touches of ochre and gold, came to enlighten this beautiful day.
The Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, Tuscany, is the background for this whimsical wedding planned and designed by Sarah Haywood, with amazing florals by Vincenzo Dascanio. The bride and groom being celebrities, we will respect their privacy here. But I couldn’t but share some of the designs and backdrops of this wonderful day, including a live music performance by John Legend, and the party being led by Martin Solveig. Oh and yes, that one time when the bride wore a Chanel Couture dress!
What’s better than to tie the knot in a private Villa with a sea view on the French Riviera? Stunning Cap d’Antibes was the background for the dreamy wedding of Titi&Jimi, a sweet Nigerian couple living in London. The day was perfectly planned by Lavender&Rose, with exquisite floral design by Miss Rose by Perrine. Titi’s Reem Acra’s dress remains one of my favorite of last year, and what to say about the jewelry! Everything turned out perfectly and the day ended with the funkiest father/daughter dance! What a day to remember!
Pedro&Rodrigo’s wedding has been hands down one of the most emotional wedding I’ve been given to photograph. The couple welcomed their guests between Lisbon and Sintra, in Portugal. The ceremony was held by a progressive priest, who had flown specifically from Brooklyn. This was immediately followed by a gorgeous welcome dinner at Palacio da Sao Vicente, an old covent in the very center of Lisbon. The second day was the wedding ceremony for a broader group of friends and family, held at glorious Penha Longa Resort, in Sintra.
A wedding is sometimes exposed to nature randomness. Jaecelle&Andrejs learned it the hard way, with their wedding venue being cancelled just two months before their wedding day. The pouring rains in Big Sur during the winter broke a bridge, and made their original venue (Paion Estate) inaccessible. That’s when Diane, from Big Sur Weddings, played her magic for an amazing Plan B. Jaecelle&Andrejs, both from California, ended up getting married at Rocky Point, before an alfresco dinner in the Carmel Valley, where we could all enjoy an amazing sunset.
