Don’t shoot the messenger but the holidays are going to be here before we know it and as winter brides are in the thick of planning, this Austrian celebration crafted by A Very Beloved Wedding is just what the doctor ordered. From the prettiest snow-filled landscapes to a candlelit palace and pretty pomegranate details, even the most ardent lovers of summer will find themselves dreaming of the coziness of winter.
Having a birthday party in the middle of winter doesn’t mean you can’t throw a bash that is whole-heartedly Spring! This is a personal post for once, with my daughter Juliette’s 5th Birthday Party, that just happened two months ago in Paris. Theme was ‘Woodland Animals’ with warmth, soft, pastel colors, and gold animals. As every year, Synies made Juliette’s Birthday cake, and the special touches of this year were feather and watercolor cookies, that were all oh so yummy!

People who know me know that I love America. I lived there twelve years ago, and I’ll be living there again one day. I recently heard many clients actually thinking that I was an American living in Paris. I’m not. I’m French, but I love the United-States in every possible way. I love its people, its diversity, its nature and landscapes, and above all its positive mindset that makes you think that everything is possible. I remember wanting to become an entrepreneur for the first time, as I lived in North-Carolina back in 2004.
I didn’t feel like blogging anything this week. It just feels wrong to be posting photographs of people in love, promoting one’s business, or even answering to clients’ inquiries, when families are mourning their lost ones just next door. And finally, I decided to take my keyboard. Anyways, there is just nothing else I can focus on right now. All I think about, is what just happened in my beloved city 3 days ago…
This is a selection of photographs I made in California during my travels there over the past two years. This state is so inspiring to me and I love to come back often in this region of the world. Light is amazing, people are the nicest, and the diversity of landscapes is breathtaking, with beaches, forests, mountains, meadows, you name it ! These photographs were made alongside Road 1, from Point Reyes to Carmel, with stops in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Half Moon Bay, or Yosemite National Park.
Allison contacted me some months ago, as she wanted to book a family session in Provence. Her family was indeed coming from California to spend a couple of days in the South of France, so as to celebrate Allison’s parents’ 40th wedding anniversary. The Provence weather was unusual that day, but I have met the most genuine, warm and kind people, and I have felt so blessed and grateful to have shared that moment with them. And that, to me, was a pure moment of family happiness.
These photographs were taken in Mexico, in the region around Guadalajara. I traveled there to attend Jose Villa’s workshop and got to meet the most wonderful people with the kindest heart. This region is absolutely amazing by its colors, its food, its architectural heritage, and the beauty of its people.
Maïly’s boudoir session was realized some weeks ago in Provence, in the stunning venue La Bastide de Marie. A soft and delicate session in a low-light pastel room, enhancing Maïly’s natural beauty. I had the pleasure to be assisted by Benjamin Barlatier for a great team work coordinated by La Fabrique à Rêves.
