The Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, Tuscany, is the background for this whimsical wedding planned and designed by Sarah Haywood, with amazing florals by Vincenzo Dascanio. The bride and groom being celebrities, we will respect their privacy here. But I couldn’t but share some of the designs and backdrops of this wonderful day, including a live music performance by John Legend, and the party being led by Martin Solveig. Oh and yes, that one time when the bride wore a Chanel Couture dress!
What’s better than to tie the knot in a private Villa with a sea view on the French Riviera? Stunning Cap d’Antibes was the background for the dreamy wedding of Titi&Jimi, a sweet Nigerian couple living in London. The day was perfectly planned by Lavender&Rose, with exquisite floral design by Miss Rose by Perrine. Titi’s Reem Acra’s dress remains one of my favorite of last year, and what to say about the jewelry! Everything turned out perfectly and the day ended with the funkiest father/daughter dance! What a day to remember!
Pedro&Rodrigo’s wedding has been hands down one of the most emotional wedding I’ve been given to photograph. The couple welcomed their guests between Lisbon and Sintra, in Portugal. The ceremony was held by a progressive priest, who had flown specifically from Brooklyn. This was immediately followed by a gorgeous welcome dinner at Palacio da Sao Vicente, an old covent in the very center of Lisbon. The second day was the wedding ceremony for a broader group of friends and family, held at glorious Penha Longa Resort, in Sintra.

The Haute Couture Fashion Week in Paris is always a much expected moment. And what to say about this AW17/18 collection by Elie Saab? I was absolutely mesmerized by ‘A Tale of Fallen Kings‘ show. For Autumn/Winter 17/18, Elie Saab transports us into a world of medieval magnificence, as the Haute Couture collection captures the opulence and wild beauty of long forgotten times, and translates into it into fiercely elegant feminine silhouettes. I was particularly amazed by Chapter 3: The Rise of Warrior Queens, with colorful tribe princesses getting ready for war!

This is Kristin & Brandon’s anniversary session at Red Rock Canyon, in the Nevada desert. Kristin & Brandon are a couple of wedding photographers from Orange County, and you will not contradict me on the fact that they both look like models! Kristin had a stunning Show Me Your MuMu dress, with neutral colors, that perfectly matched the overcast mood of the day. The day was very windy and cold, but we still had a great session, walking around the red rocks of that beautiful National Park!

A wedding is sometimes exposed to nature randomness. Jaecelle&Andrejs learned it the hard way, with their wedding venue being cancelled just two months before their wedding day. The pouring rains in Big Sur during the winter broke a bridge, and made their original venue (Paion Estate) inaccessible. That’s when Diane, from Big Sur Weddings, played her magic for an amazing Plan B. Jaecelle&Andrejs, both from California, ended up getting married at Rocky Point, before an alfresco dinner in the Carmel Valley, where we could all enjoy an amazing sunset.

Caitlin&Patrick live in Seattle. Patrick being from London, that’s where they had decided to tie the knot. I had met this sweet couple earlier last year for their wonderful engagement session in Joshua Tree National Park, with the company of their best furry friend Moxie. Caitlin&Patrick didn’t have a specific theme for their wedding and once they had picked the venue, they let the style kind of fall into place. Hedsor House is indeed the location where they shot most of the scenes of the tv show Downtown Abbey. So Caitlin&Patrick kept everything very elegant and classic. They had as many gold accents as possible, and kept the rest of the colors very moody and organic.

Today, I’m introducing a new section of the blog called ‘Honeymoon’. The purpose of this new category is to introduce you to some of my favorite locations around the world, that you might want to consider for honeymooning! We’re starting this trip with Tulum and the Nomade Hotel, which has been one of my favorite travel experience so far. This is the perfect getaway for a retreat, where you will be pampered at the rhythm of yoga classes, amazing vegan food, and holistic experiences within the hotel’s gratitude tent. This is a portrait session of my girlfriend Rime for a start.
